I developed the following graphic story as part of a collaborative workshop called "Place and Displacement: Micro-narratives of (un) settlement", between the University of Sheffield School of Architecture and the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette.

The backbone of the project was the idea of “micronarrative”, which consists of a collage of life stories of displaced children who were forced to move to refugee camps in the north of Europe. It seeks to highlight how the feeling of home includes not only the living environments (be it a house or a tent, and anything in between) but also the objects and feelings associated with being home. It is told in first person to explore how the impact of a story changes depending on who is telling it, as we are relatively used to listening these stories from news articles and videos and which undoubtedly influences our overall perception of the situation.
